Programs & Services

Calvary offers both Half-Day and All-Day programs. The preschool schedule is designed to provide a balanced program that has continuity and flexibility in meeting the individual needs of young children. Classroom curriculum activities revolve around developmental goals and objectives. Monthly and weekly lesson plans are posted in advance in all classrooms.

Half-Day Program

The Half-Day Program is in session September through June from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Within the Half-Day Program, children may attend two days a week (Tuesday/Thursday), three days a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five days a week (Monday-Friday) During the regular school year, a child’s Half-Day Program may be extended from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through participation in our Early Drop Off and Extended Lunch Programs.

All-Day Program

The All-Day Program is a year round, 12-month program that runs September through August with hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is designed to meet the needs of parents who require a preschool environment with extended care for their child. Within the All-Day Program, children may attend two days a week (Tuesday/Thursday) three days a week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) or five days a week (Monday-Friday.)

Extended Lunch Program

Calvary’s Extended Lunch Programs are optional opportunities for children enrolled in the Half-Day sessions. Children bring a sack lunch and a resting blanket or towel and may remain at school until 4:30 p.m. or any portion of that afternoon time. During these programs, the children eat lunch, have a rest and participate in planned activities as well as independent play. Various programs are available both on an “as needed” or on a regular basis. A schedule and description of these programs is sent home at the beginning of the school year and is also available in the preschool office. Space is limited. Sign-up for the Extended Lunch Programs is done through the preschool office. Families are billed for these programs on their monthly statement. Costs for the different lunch programs vary.
