Our Staff
Our staff is professionally trained in Early Childhood Education. Most of our teachers exceed the requirements set forth by the state. Teachers are encouraged to continue their education by attending conferences and reading the newest materials. The teachers maintain a friendly, creative atmosphere in which the children participate in a well-balanced program of indoor and outdoor activities.
Theresa Gomez
Director
Theresa has been active in education for over twenty-five years. She comes to Calvary with an extensive knowledge of student learning and diverse background in the field of education. She holds a Bachelors of Education from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, where she specialized in health, safety and physical education. She began her early childhood education studies at Pasadena City College and recently completed her administrative coursework at Pacific Oaks College. She has taught and worked at the elementary, secondary and preschool levels. She also has a long history of volunteer service in her community, as well as child and family advocacy.
In addition to working with children, she enjoys reading, vacationing in the mountains with her husband and four children, visiting our National Parks and historic sites and relaxing with her extended family and friends.
